WSA/South Central Spring Season Coming to a Close!

Hard to believe but the spring 2017 Season is coming to a close!

First ... I'd like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding this spring as we dealt with an UNPRECEDENTED number of game reschedules!

Second ... my profound thanks to all of you ... our parents, our WSA and SCSC travel players, our U12 and U18 rec players and most importantly - our coaches, for a fantastic spring season.  The players' enthusiasm, the parents positive support, and the coaches dedication helped us to another successful WSA and South Central season.  From the NHSL games, to Memorial Day tournaments, to the NHSA Day at the Revs, we witnessed some fantastic victories, some heartbreaking losses, some 'trying' weather delays, but some incredible memories!  With highlights such as our U18 Rec team vying for the top spot in their league, our boys 02/03 SCSC team playing a 11v11 friendly against the NE Revolution Academy team on the FULL field at Gillette Stadium, and our 03 D2/3 SCSC Boys and BOTH girls SCSC teams making the playoffs in their respective divisions to name just a few ... it truly was a great season!!  Most importantly, we witnessed our players - our children - take another step in their development, not just on the field, but off as well ... I am proud to say that the sportsmanship that our teams display on and off the pitch is second to none!

For those teams that have finished their season ... we hope you had a GREAT time, win or lose, and enjoy some well deserved downtime.  For those that are still competing in the playoffs .. GO WINDHAM!  GO SOUTH CENTRAL!  We wish you the best of luck and are pulling for you!!  Please know how proud we are of ALL of you ... thank you for carrying on the positive legacy that Windham and South Central soccer have built over the years!

In the coming days, the remainder of the team placements for all South Central and Windham travel teams should be complete and emails will go out to announce teams.

For those that are looking to keep working on their skills, there are a number of camps offered by WSA in conjunction with Challenger, Coach Goran, In the Net and Coach Mustapha throughout the summer ... visit the Summer Camp page on our website for more details.

Thank you again ... have a GREAT summer, and we'll see you on the pitch!

SIGN UP NOW! Windham 2017 Recreation Soccer Registration is OPEN

DON'T WAIT - Sign up now ... avoid the rush, avoid the late fees, and RELAX all summer!!

A REMINDER that registration for the Fall 2017 Recreational Soccer Program run by the Windham Soccer Association is now open!   The fall recreation program plays host to nearly 500 young players every year in the town of Windham.  Beginning with our Tiny Tots program, aimed at introducing our youngest members to Soccer through fun games and excercises, through our in-town U6 through U10 programs, offering our players a more formal inroduction to the game of Soccer through training and non-competitive matches, right up to our Inter-town U12 through U18 teams, who play rec teams in a similar age bracket from surrounding towns, WSA has something for everyone!

Visit out home page at www.windhamsoccer.org today and select the "Register Online" link on the left side of the page, or use the following link to go directly to our registration page:

Register On-Line

Registration for WSA is based upon your child's birthdate:

  Birth Year Range
Tiny Tots 2014 2015
U6 2012 2013
U8 2010 2011
U10 2008 2009
U12 2006 2007
U15 2003 2005
U18 2000 2002

Spread the word!  Let your friends, your family, and your neighbors know, especially if they are new to town or have children that are just coming of age!  We want to see EVERYONE out on the pitch this fall!

And remember, WSA is a volunteer run organization that relies upon it's members to make these programs run.  We are always looking for good people who are able to volunteer of themselves to help the youth of our town.  We are ALWAYS looking for people to COACH  (don't worry about experience ... WSA, with it's professional trainers, are here to help ALL along the way), as well as people with unique skill sets that may be interested on serving with us on the Board of Directors.   Remember - without enough coaches for our teams, we are forced to limit the program offerings, which means there is a chance not everyone gets to play.  We NEVER want this to happen, but need your help to pull it off!

Each year, we also try to find new people, especiall those that are new into the program or have younger kids in the program, to work with us and carry on the long standing tradition of success that Windham Soccer has fostered long after we, the current members, are gone.  We CANNOT do it without you!  There are a NUMBER of open positions on the board that we hope to fill right awy.  Won't you please consider joining us and carrying on the legacy??

Thank you again ... should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask any member of the Board ... if they are unable to answer your question directly, they will point you in the direction of a person who can.

See you on the pitch!
